Wines with a sense of adventure
2012 was a late vintage, reduced yields resulting with a real intensity of flavour in the 2012 Sauvignon Blanc.
This wine has lush herbaceous flavours, a zing of citrus, passionfruit and a great bouquet. A great wine as an apperatif, and with many seafood and chicken dishes
Bridget Ennals and Steve Pellett travelled the world to find a place to put down their roots. They found that place at the top of New Zealand’s South Island, under the cool gaze of Mount Tapuae-O-Uenuku (the footprint of the rainbow) in Marlborough’s spectacular Awatere Valley.
The Awatere Valley’s sunny days and cool nights ripen grapes slowly, allowing them to develop herbaceous flavours and gooseberry tastes – distinctively different to the sauvignon produced elsewhere in Marlborough. Growing Sauvignon Blanc sustainably.
Auckland, Friday 9th August: Steve receiving the TROPHY award for the Best Sauvignon Blanc in the Spiegelau International Wine Competition. A great result for our 2012 Sauvignon Blanc, Single Vineyard wine. A proud moment to receive our first Trophy for our wines in New Zealand.
